A Family Homestead
In the early 1930s, Willie Morris homesteaded 160 acres of desert land outside of Quartzite, Arizona.
Willie's children were grown but they would often bring her grandchildren to visit. They would stock her cellar with canned goods and enjoy the wide open spaces around her home.
Willie raised chickens, a few hogs, and tended a small garden. She lived on this homestead until 1948, and it has remained in the family ever since.
